Interdean Comments on Latest Migration Figures from New Zealand

The international removals experts at Interdean have commented on the latest figures which reveal that most migrants choosing to live in New Zealand are from the UK, China, and India.
It has been reported by Expat Forum that arrivals to New Zealand reached a new record in November 2013, with migrant arrivals reaching a total of 93,000. It is thought that a high number of arrivals from overseas paired with fewer individuals choosing to move to Australia has contributed to the record figures. Expat Forum reports that the highest number of migrants came from the United Kingdom with a total of 5900, followed by China with 5600 and India at 5300.

The figures, released by Statistics New Zealand, also revealed that the number of visitors to New Zealand reached a record high, with an increase of 8% when compared to the same period in 2012. The number of visitors reached a total of 251,100 in November 2013 and, on a yearly basis, the figures have increased by 5% to reach a total of 2.7 million.
