EssilorLuxottica Announces New Headquarters in Paris to Drive Innovation and Sustainability
In a significant development for its global presence, EssilorLuxottica has unveiled plans for a state-of-the-art corporate headquarters in Paris, set to open in late 2027. The headquarters will consolidate the Group’s diverse functions, bringing over 2,000 employees together in a single location at Place Valhubert, a tech-driven district in the 13th arrondissement.
This over 20,000-square-metre facility is designed to blend traditional Haussmannian architecture with contemporary elements, making it an ideal space for fostering creativity and embodying EssilorLuxottica’s leadership in the vision care and eyewear industry. The headquarters is strategically positioned near the Seine, enhancing its connectivity to the broader city and aligning with the area’s modern, innovative landscape.
A Hub for Innovation and Collaboration
The new headquarters aims to unify the company’s various organisational departments, from design and digital development to business and corporate functions. This consolidation will streamline internal communication, promote cross-functional collaboration, and fortify a culture of innovation within the company. Francesco Milleri, EssilorLuxottica’s Chairman and CEO, emphasised the importance of this collaborative environment, stating, “Our success is deeply rooted in our people, and this new space meets their engagement.”
In addition to providing a conducive work environment, the new headquarters will serve as a space to exhibit EssilorLuxottica’s groundbreaking products and technologies. Plans include a showroom for the Group’s iconic brands, such as Ray-Ban and Oakley, as well as an auditorium and training facilities to foster ongoing learning and engagement among staff.
Commitment to Sustainability
In keeping with EssilorLuxottica’s “Eyes on the Planet” initiative, the headquarters is designed with environmental sustainability as a central focus. It aims to achieve multiple environmental certifications, including HQE, BREEAM, BBCA, and BBC, meeting the highest standards in building performance, energy efficiency, and reduced carbon emissions. This approach reflects EssilorLuxottica’s commitment to sustainability and long-term environmental impact, consistent with their broader corporate responsibility goals.
The commitment to creating an eco-conscious workplace aligns with global trends, demonstrating the company’s intention to set a standard in the industry for sustainable development.
Strengthening European Roots
This expansion in Paris complements EssilorLuxottica’s recent enhancements to its corporate facilities in Milan, reinforcing its European roots while supporting a global operational strategy. With over 200,000 employees across 150 countries, EssilorLuxottica continues to drive growth, innovation, and accessibility in vision care worldwide, achieving a revenue of €25.4 billion in 2023.
As EssilorLuxottica prepares to open its new Paris headquarters, it positions itself not only as an industry leader but also as an example of how companies can integrate sustainability, innovation, and culture into their corporate strategies.
