Sponsored by British performance brake manufacturer Probite, the 2025 calendar builds on the success of the 2024 season, with plans to reduce costs and enhance the experience for drivers, teams, and fans. The calendar mixes classic rallies with a new season opener, catering to various terrains and testing driver skills to the fullest.

2025 British Rally Championship Calendar Highlights

The 2025 season will feature six rounds across the UK mainland, starting in February and wrapping up in October. Each round has been selected to highlight the diversity of British rallying, with equal representation of gravel and asphalt events. The championship will bring back some of the most popular stages from 2024, alongside an exciting new rally to kick off the season.

Continuing High-Quality Media Coverage on ITV4 and ITVX

BRC fans can look forward to top-quality broadcast coverage once again, with each round showcased in a dedicated, hour-long highlight programme on ITV4. This coverage will continue to capture the heart-pounding action on free-to-air television, reaching audiences across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Additionally, fans can catch up on each round via the online ITVX streaming service, along with a season-end summary programme that wraps up the year’s most memorable moments.

Round-by-Round Breakdown: 2025 BRC Calendar

The BRC calendar offers a perfect balance between gravel and asphalt, giving teams and drivers an even mix of terrains to conquer. Here’s a closer look at what each round brings to the table:

Round 1 – East Riding Stages Rally – Beverley – 23 February

Starting the season in Yorkshire, the East Riding Stages Rally will make its BRC debut as an early-season challenge. Taking place on 23 February, this rally will run on closed public roads around Beverley, testing competitors over ten thrilling stages. Known for engaging local communities and creating an exciting atmosphere, the East Riding event will set a high standard for the season with its street stages, fan zones, and town centre activities.

Round 2 – Severn Valley Stages – Builth Wells – 12 April

In April, the championship heads to Wales for the iconic Severn Valley Stages, a classic one-day gravel event. Based in Builth Wells, this rally features some of the UK’s best gravel stages, including routes through Myherin, Sweet Lamb, and Hafren, renowned from Wales Rally GB. This high-speed, challenging course will test both driver skill and endurance, offering spectators a taste of true rally grit.

Round 3 – Borders Competitions Jim Clark Rally – Duns – 23-24 May

The Scottish Borders will host the Jim Clark Rally, which returns with an expanded two-day format. This rally combines both daytime and nighttime stages, taking place on the scenic and demanding asphalt roads around Duns. Named after F1 legend Jim Clark, this rally has become a favourite for its technical demands and scenic backdrop, creating an ideal proving ground for BRC contenders.

Round 4 – Voyonic Grampian Forest Rally – Banchory – 8-9 August

August sees the BRC journey north to the Scottish forests for the Voyonic Grampian Forest Rally, a fan-favourite gravel event held near Aberdeen. Known for its challenging Kincardineshire stages, the rally provides drivers with an opportunity to tackle some of the country’s finest forest roads, praised for their technicality and beauty. A two-day format ensures ample action and a rewarding experience for teams making the journey to Scotland.

Round 5 – JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion – Aberystwyth – 5-7 September

The JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion in Aberystwyth will offer a unique three-day, closed-road rally in September. After its success in 2024, this rally will once again challenge BRC crews alongside some of the best drivers in Europe. The Welsh asphalt event has gained a reputation as one of the toughest on the calendar, with narrow roads, challenging turns, and breathtaking scenery providing a true test of skill.

Round 6 – Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally – Llandudno – 25 October

Closing out the season in North Wales, the Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally will serve as the final round of the championship. With its historic stages through the North Wales forests, this rally offers a dramatic setting for a potential championship showdown. The forests of Brenig and Clocaenog echo the legendary Wales Rally GB, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion where champions could be crowned.

Championship Structure and Competitor Opportunities

The BRC’s structure remains consistent, allowing for a range of rally car classes to participate. The top-tier Rally2 and Rally3 cars will battle for the overall title, while other homologated classes, including Rally4 and Rally5 vehicles, will vie for the Junior BRC honours. Additionally, the championship’s National Rally Title and Open Rally Title categories enable non-homologated cars to compete, broadening the field and ensuring an inclusive atmosphere for rally enthusiasts.

This format has proved successful, creating a competitive platform for emerging talent as well as seasoned rally veterans, while also bringing together teams and fans from all over the UK.

Insight from BRC Championship Manager, Reece Tarren

Reflecting on the previous season’s success and looking forward to the new calendar, BRC Championship Manager Reece Tarren shared his excitement for what lies ahead:

“The 2024 season was one of the best for the British Rally Championship in recent times, so we’re building on that momentum to offer stability and continuity for our competitors, teams, and fans. Each event has proven its value, and we’re excited to add the East Riding Stages Rally as the season opener. With the Legend Fires North West Stages on sabbatical, it’s the perfect opportunity to bring a new rally into the mix.

“The continued TV coverage on ITV4 and ITVX is fantastic for reaching our audience and showcasing the incredible talent and skill within the BRC. I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in Yorkshire next February as we kick off the 2025 season.”
